Cron will miss 6-8 weeks as he recovers from corrective surgery to repair the damage. Manager Bruce Bochy is targeting July 25 as the potential date for getting the veteran outfielder back in his lineup. He may have Joe Panik (concussion) back sooner than that, but the second basemans return depends almost entirely on whether hell get medical clearance from the league.Seattle Mariners: Although he struggled a bit with his mechanics due to rust, Felix Hernandez (calf) got through a rehab assignment on Sunday without any physical setbacks. Officials ruled the play to be intentional grounding, a penalty that gave Plainfield North the ball and one more play, which it used to kick a field goal and tie the game before winning 18-17 in overtime.The Illinois High School Association, which governs prep sports in the state, said the call was a mistake.
